Two of Cups
Archetype: A young man and woman bring their cups together for a toast. The symbols suggest not only the possibilities of intimacy with another; they also imply that your animus and anima—your inner masculine and feminine, and/or conscious and unconscious parts—are meeting. This results in intimacy with yourself. The Caduceus of Hermes, the symbol of healing and renewal, rises above, indicating the wisdom and restoration that are the results of such an interaction.
