*ACIM Lesson 107: “Truth will correct all errors in my mind.”*

This lesson is a soft, steady hand on the shoulder. It doesn’t demand that you fix yourself, improve yourself, or figure everything out. It simply invites you to let Truth do what Truth naturally does: shine away what never really belonged in you.

At its heart, Lesson 107 is about trust. Not trust in the world, not trust in your own personal strength, but trust in the quiet, changeless Truth within you—what the Course calls the Holy Spirit, or the memory of God in your mind.

I. The Core Teaching

*“Truth will correct all errors in my mind.”*

The Course is very precise: the problem is never outside you. It is always an error in the mind—a mistaken belief, a false idea, an identification with something that is not your true Self. The world you see is the projection of these errors. The ego tells you the opposite: that the world is the cause and you are the effect. The Holy Spirit gently reverses this and reminds you: the mind is cause; the world is effect.

What is the ego trying to hide?

The ego’s core “secret” is actually very simple:

1. *You are not the body.*

The ego wants you to believe you are the body, vulnerable and separate, and that your safety lies in controlling circumstances, other people, and your own behavior.

2. *You are not guilty.*

The ego’s entire structure rests on guilt and fear. It whispers:

  • “You have separated from God.”
  • “You did something terribly wrong.”
  • “You are on your own now, and you must defend yourself.”

The ego then builds a world of conflict and loss to “prove” this guilt is real.

3. *You are not alone.*

The ego insists you are isolated, cut off from Love, and that you must compete, defend, and protect yourself. It hides the fact that you are still joined with God and with all your brothers in one shared Mind.

The ego is terrified of Truth because Truth undoes it. If Truth is what you are, then the ego is nothing but a passing dream. So it distracts you with endless problems, dramas, and fears, so you never turn inward to the quiet place where Truth lives.

What is the Holy Spirit revealing?

The Holy Spirit in your mind is the Voice for Truth. It does not attack the ego; it simply shines. It reveals:

1. *Your innocence.*

No matter what you think you’ve done, no matter how long you’ve believed in separation, your true Self remains untouched, pure, and whole. The Holy Spirit corrects the error of guilt by reminding you of your unbroken innocence.

2. *Your safety.*

The Holy Spirit corrects the error of fear by showing you that nothing real can be threatened. Your true Identity is Spirit, not a vulnerable body. You are held in God’s Love, always.

3. *Your unity with all life.*

The Holy Spirit corrects the error of separation by revealing that you share one Mind with all your brothers and with God. What you give, you receive. What you forgive in another, you free in yourself.

When the lesson says, “Truth will correct all errors in my mind,” it is inviting you to stop trying to correct yourself by yourself, and instead to allow the Holy Spirit to reinterpret everything you see and feel.

II. Applied to Daily Life

Let’s bring this down into the situations that tend to trouble us most.

1. Relationships

Suppose you feel hurt by a partner, friend, or family member. The ego says:

  • “They did this to me.”
  • “I am justified in my anger.”
  • “I must protect myself by attacking or withdrawing.”

The error here is the belief that:

  • You are a separate self, attacked by another separate self.
  • Your peace depends on their behavior.
  • Your hurt is proof of your vulnerability.

To apply Lesson 107, you might say inwardly:

  • “I am willing to let Truth correct the way I see this.”
  • “Holy Spirit, show me the truth about my brother and myself.”

You may be shown that:

  • Their behavior came from their own fear and confusion, not from real malice.
  • Your true Self cannot be harmed by words or actions.
  • You and your brother share the same call for love.

This doesn’t mean you must stay in harmful situations or ignore practical boundaries. It means you let Truth correct the inner story of attack, blame, and guilt. From that corrected perception, you will know more clearly what to say or do—or not do.

2. Work and Career

At work, you may feel pressure, competition, or fear of failure. The ego says:

  • “My worth depends on my performance.”
  • “I must prove myself.”
  • “If I make a mistake, I am less.”

The error is identification with a role, a status, or an image. The Holy Spirit corrects this by reminding you:

  • Your worth is established by God and cannot be increased or decreased.
  • Work can become a classroom for forgiveness and peace, not a battlefield.
  • You are here to extend kindness, not to win.

You might pause during the day and say:

  • “Truth will correct all errors in my mind about this project, this colleague, this fear.”
  • “Show me how to see this situation through Your eyes.”

You may find that anxiety softens, and a quiet confidence arises—not based on ego pride, but on trust that you are guided and supported.

3. Illness and the Body

When the body is sick or in pain, the ego says:

  • “I am this body.”
  • “I am weak, fragile, and at the mercy of forces I cannot control.”
  • “This proves I am vulnerable and alone.”

The error is equating your Identity with the body. The Holy Spirit corrects this by gently teaching:

  • You *have* a body as a learning device, but you *are* Spirit.
  • The body’s condition does not change your holiness or your worth.
  • Even in illness, you can choose peace, trust, and forgiveness.

You can say:

  • “Truth will correct all errors in my mind about this body and this illness.”
  • “Holy Spirit, help me see that I am still as God created me.”

This does not mean you deny symptoms or avoid medical help. It means you let Truth correct the fear, guilt, and self-attack that often surround sickness, and you remember that your real Self is untouched.

4. Anxiety and Daily Stress

When you feel anxious about money, time, family, or the future, the ego insists:

  • “I am on my own.”
  • “I must control everything.”
  • “If I don’t worry, I am being irresponsible.”

The error is believing that worry is power, and that fear is protection. The Holy Spirit corrects this by showing you:

  • Worry does nothing but reinforce fear.
  • You are not alone; help is always present in your mind.
  • Peace is not irresponsible; it is the clearest state from which to act.

You might pause and breathe:

  • “Truth will correct all errors in my mind about this situation.”
  • “I do not know what anything is for. Holy Spirit, You decide for me.”

Gradually, you may notice that the tightness in your chest eases, your thoughts slow down, and a simple next step becomes clear.

III. Overcoming Resistance

This lesson can feel threatening to the ego because it implies that:

  • You have been mistaken about many things.
  • You are not the one in charge of correcting those mistakes.
  • There is a Truth in you that is greater than your personal identity.

Common forms of resistance might be:

  • “I don’t want to be wrong.”
  • “If I let go of my judgments, I’ll be taken advantage of.”
  • “If I trust in Truth, I’ll lose control.”

Underneath all of this is fear of losing the “me” you think you are. The ego believes that if Truth fully dawns, it will disappear—and it is right. But you will not disappear. You will remember your Self.

You can meet your resistance gently:

  • “It’s okay that I’m afraid.”
  • “I’m not being asked to sacrifice anything real, only illusions.”
  • “I am willing to be shown, even if I don’t fully understand.”

The Holy Spirit never forces. It only responds to your little willingness. Even the smallest sincere invitation—“Help me see this differently”—is enough.

IV. Today’s Practice (Lesson 107)

Here is a simple way to practice this lesson today, adapted from the Course’s instructions:

1. Set aside two longer practice periods (about 10–15 minutes each)

*Step 1: Set the intention.*

Sit quietly, close your eyes if comfortable, and say slowly, with meaning:

“Truth will correct all errors in my mind,
And I will rest in Him who is my Self.”

Let these words be a gentle promise, not a demand.

*Step 2: Relax into receptivity.*

Let your body relax. You do not need to do anything. You are allowing Truth to do its work. If thoughts arise, simply notice them and remember:

“These are just errors being brought to the light.
Truth will correct them all.”

*Step 3: Welcome the Holy Spirit.*

Silently say:

“Holy Spirit, I offer You my mind.
Correct every error I have made.
I do not know what anything is for.
I am willing to be shown.”

Then rest. You are not trying to analyze or fix. You are resting in willingness.

*Step 4: End with gratitude.*

Close the period by gently repeating:

“Truth will correct all errors in my mind.”

Trust that something has been given, even if you feel nothing special.

2. Frequent shorter reminders

Several times an hour, pause briefly and say:

  • “Truth will correct all errors in my mind.”
  • Or: “Let Truth correct this for me.”

Apply it specifically:

  • When you feel annoyed: “Truth will correct all errors in my mind about this person.”
  • When you feel afraid: “Truth will correct all errors in my mind about this situation.”
  • When you feel guilty: “Truth will correct all errors in my mind about myself.”

These are like gentle course corrections throughout the day.

V. Comparable ACIM Lessons

Lesson 107 is closely connected with several other lessons:

  • **Lesson 75: “The light has come.”**

Both lessons emphasize that the answer is already present. You are not trying to create light or truth; you are accepting what already is.

  • **Lesson 93: “Light and joy and peace abide in me.”**

Lesson 93 affirms what is already in you; Lesson 107 trusts that this inner Truth will correct every mistaken belief that says otherwise.

  • **Lesson 99: “Salvation is my only function here.”**

Salvation, in Course terms, is the correction of error in the mind. Lesson 107 shows how this correction happens: by allowing Truth to do its work.

  • **Lesson 151: “All things are echoes of the Voice for God.”**

Both lessons invite you to listen to the Holy Spirit’s interpretation of everything you see and feel, rather than the ego’s.

These lessons together build a deep trust that you are not alone and not responsible for your own awakening in the ego’s sense. Your part is willingness; the Holy Spirit’s part is correction.

VI. Closing Thought

You do not have to heal yourself alone. You do not have to fix your past, solve every problem, or figure out how to be spiritual. You are only asked to open the door a little and let Truth enter.

Today, let this be your quiet assurance:

**“Truth will correct all errors in my mind.

I do not walk alone, and I cannot fail to find my Self.”**
